Republican party has what to say and to do in Armenia’s political field: Ashotyan stands for party’s participation in elections
Republican party MP Armen Ashotyan has confirmed today that the opinions over participation in snap parliamentary elections inside the party differ.
Speaking to reporters today he said that some insist on participation bringing grounds for it and some claim to “miss this electoral cycle.”
“The party does not have final decision with obvious reasons – the day of elections has not been set yet. In this phase the public opinion polls, monitoring, studies are being carried out. After the day of elections is set we will announce our decision,” Ashotyan said.
He stressed that the Republican party has “what to say and what to do” in Armenia’s political life. Ashotyan said that the Republican party is a party with ideological ground.
“Armenia’s political culture demands that each previous authority does not disapper from the political stage as they are the bearers of institutional memory. Many representatives of the former authorities not being engaged in scandals or unlawful deeds may be useful in Armenia’s political life,” Ashotyan stated.
