Time for full consolidation has come: Armenia’s PM on Hunan Poghosyan’s appointment
Armenian government appointed today governors in three provinces. The draft bill has been presented by the Territorial Administration and Development Minister Suren Papikyan.
Former deputy chief of the police Hunan Poghosyan has been appointed governor of Syunik province, David Gevorgyan, who was deputy territorial administration minister, has been appointed governor of Aragatsotn and Hambardzum Matevosyan has been appointed governor of Armavir.
“You know that Mr Poghosyan served in the post of deputy chief of the police for quite a long time, during the ruling of previous authorities. I think this proposal may sound a little strange in this regard, but I want to say that no one should think his/her life in Armenia ended as a result of the revolution,” Pashinyan stressed.
“Time for full consolidation has come: there is time when barricades are being built and there is time when they are being demounted,” the PM stressed.
Pashinyan noted that in essence, his management system has remained the same by 90%.
“I want to say directly that there is big percent in this 90% which has no wish to work and impedes the work of the others. There are certain sabotage opportunities,” he said, stressing that no one of former and current officials are immune in Armenia. “We are on the right path,” the PM said.
He also congratulated the new governors wishing them success and effective work.
