Civil Contract to participate in snap elections either separately or with My Step bloc: Nikol Pashinyan
The issue of nomination during 14 days after resignation is just a legal issue, Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today speaking to RFE/RL.
“Discussions took place in the evening yesterday and many leading attorneys said there is no need of it. There is no political issue, the nomination has no political sub context,” Pashinyan said.
Earlier on October 16 at the meeting with NA’s Yelk faction Pashinyan said he might be nominated as a candidate with presumption of not being elected.
As to how the Civil Contract is going to participate in the snap parliamentary elections Pashinyan said that more probably it will come up separately.
“In essence, if there will be a bloc, it will be My Step bloc,” Pashinyan said, adding that no final decision has been made.
