Social Democrat Hnchakyan Party to participate in snap parliamentary elections

The Social Democrat Hnchakyan  Party (SDHP) is planning to participate in snap parliamentary elections in Armenia in December, party’s vice chairman Vazgen Mesropian said speaking to Aysor.am.

As to the format of participation, Mesropian said that it depends on negotiations. “It will be clear in the coming days. We will come up with a statement,” he said.

Mesropian also stressed that they do not want to open brackets and reveal with what forces they will prefer to come up in case of participating with a bloc.

He also stressed that they will participate as a pro-government force.

“We support the authorities and have stated about it from the very first day of the revolution. Our party has always been by the side of the people and will always be,” he said, adding that they participated in the discussions over the changes in the Electoral Code and submitted their proposals.
