Armenia’s acting FM, Korean ambassador sign Investment Promotion and Mutual Protection Agreement between the two governments
Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met today with Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Armenia Woo Yoon-keun (residence in Moscow).
The acting FM thanked the government of Korea for continuous assistance to Armenia and reiterated the country’s readiness to undertake practical steps for deepening and expanding further cooperation with the country in different directions.
Trade-economic, agricultural and tourism sectors were mentioned as main cooperation sectors.
Speaking about domestic political developments in the country the acting FM said that with its activity the Armenian government showed its commitment to fight against corruption and strengthen the judicial system which are the main guarantees for ensuring social-economic equality.
The parties also exchanged ideas over a number of international and regional issues, their possible solutions. The sides particularly referred to recent developments in the Korean peninsula and efforts addressed toward the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In this context they stressed the necessity of exclusively peaceful settlement of the issues.
At the end of the meeting Mnatsakanyan and Woo Yoon-keun signed Investment Promotion and Mutual Protection Agreement between the governments of the two countries, expressing confidence that it will be an additional impetus for practical development of bilateral cooperation.
