ARF-D states about participation in snap parliamentary elections

The 22th extraordinary General Assembly of ARF-D took place October 19-21 for the discussion of the agenda of the party.

During the gathering the participants referred to the domestic political issues and to the conduction of snap parliamentary elections in Armenia.

As a result of the thorough discussion the party made a decision participate in the upcoming snap parliamentary elections in Armenia and issued a statement.

It stressed that the ARF-D highlights ideological political fight in the atmosphere of tolerance, aims at implementation of ideological programs stemming from party’s value system.

At the same time the statement registered that the conduction of snap parliamentary elections in December without full legislative changes and in hastiness is unacceptable and expressed its concern over failure to ensure full guarantees for conducting free, fair, transparent elections registered in the government’s program.

It also stated that as an opposition, irrespective of election outcome, the party will come up from principle positions and successive and resolute steps.
