No matter with what Electoral Code elections are held, people’s victory is unavoidable: Nikol Pashinyan
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred in live video in Facebook to the rejection of the amended Electoral Code in the National Assembly.
Stating that the bill was aimed at making the Electoral Code more democratic, the PM stressed that by refusing to back it the NA again proved that snap parliamentary elections are unavoidable and without them no step forward may be registered.
“Today’s voting showed the reality. Parliamentary majority and their supporters are doing everything for carrying out policy of sabotage. It has been proved several times during the past two weeks. They hoped to turn the snap parliamentary elections into revenge tool,” he said, adding that the elections will be conducted by the old Electoral Code.
"Nothing will change as the people’s victory is unavoidable. No return to past. I urge the Armenian citizens to really get prepared for the snap parliamentary elections and bring the change of power to final phase. No matter with what Electoral Code the elections will pass, it will be people’s victory. They will not succeed in revenge,” he said, urging people to keep spirits high as the revolution continue and will soon reach its final destination.
“Snap parliamentary elections will take place in December registering people’s victory,” Pashinyan stressed.
"Today's voting showed that since its very first today this government is working in the atmosphere of sabotage and now an attempt is being made to bring this sabotage to its final phase. But this sabotage will not succeed, the revolution will succeed and the people will win," Pashinyan stated.
