Right Wheel members protest before NA building, demand lifting law restrictions
Members of the “Right wheel” initiative are carrying out a protest action in front of the Armenian NA building. They claim that many people have acquired right wheel vehicles unaware that the law restrictions will not be lifted from October.
“Over 150 cars are blocked on the border. Daily fines are set for them in Georgia amounting to 10,000 AMD. Over 2,500 cars are standing in different Georgian towns. Their time is expiring. We need to bring the cars to the owners in Armenia,” one of the participants stressed.
Yelk party MP Edmon Marukyan also joined the protestors, noting that he expected some changes in the decision of the previous authorities.
“I think there is no evidence that the right wheel cars present danger and that they threat the road traffic and its security,” the MP said.
Marukyan told the protestors to prepare an application which he will submit to the government and offer solution to the issue via amendments in the law. Agter it, he said, it will be possible to import the cars gathered on the border.
