ARF-D not to tolerate language of ultimatums: faction head
The ARF-D faction has not joined the signature gathering initiative of Yelk and Tsarukyan factions for the conduction another discussion and voting of the draft Electoral Code as some of its proposals have not found place there, head of the faction Armen Rustamyan told the reporters at a briefing today.
“We were not co-authors of the bill. While if you sign it, it means you have co-authored it. At least something from what you have proposed should have been accepted in it. We have submitted three proposals, one better than the other, but none was accepted. So why should I sign it?” Rustamyan said.
He though said that at the new voting of the draft Electoral Code the faction will back the bill.
“If the initiatives are not agreed with us, we do not join them. This is the ARF-D’s type and they should take it into consideration. We are not the ones to be spoken with language of ultimatums,” Rustamyan said.
Asked whether ARF-D is offended, the MP replied, “We are not offended. The others decided that they can speak with us in such language. Let them speak so with who they want not with us. An attempts have been made but they failed. Let the new authorities not repeat the fate of the previous ones. Everyone thought ARF-D will join every authority. We have our position and we stay committed to it,” he stressed.
