Armenia to restore equipment production sector with Russia’s support

While creating a common market it is necessary to take care for it to have not only raw products but high technological as well, consultant to Russian president Sergey Glazev said at the briefing with reporters after Eurasian Week forum works.

He said Armenia is considered a developed country in post-soviet territory where devices, computing equipment, high-technological machine building base were being produced for many years.

“Today Armenia is restoring this specialization. The Armenian companies are actively cooperating with Rostech corporation. The huge market of the Eurasian Union will give huge opportunities for the development of Armenian economy,” Glazev said.

He confirmed that concrete projects are being discussed.

“Representatives of Rostech company and Industrial Foundation are here and they want to expand cooperation and restore Armenian economy’s traditional leading function in computing technology and equipment production sectors,” Glazev said.
