Membership of all post-soviet countries to EAEU to cut number of conflicts: Russia’s president consultant
Azerbaijan’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union is possible, consultant to Russian president Sergey Glazev hinted at a news conference in Yerevan today.
He stressed that the entrance of all the post-soviet countries to the EAEU will cut the number of existing conflicts.
“If the EAEU involves all the countries of post-soviet territory the number of conflicts will reduce. Our position is that all the conflicts in the post-soviet territory should be settled through negotiations, consultations and concessions. We are interested in the absence of any conflicts,” he said, speaking about Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Glazev stressed that the EAEU is open for all countries.
Mass media have many times referred to the possible membership of Azerbaijan to the organization.
Official Yerevan stated though that in case of discussion of the issue it will use its right to veto.
