Nikol Pashinyan: I have been nominated for not being elected

Yelk faction head Lena Nazaryan has officially stated at the extraordinary sitting today that the faction nominated Nikol Pashinyan’s candidacy for the post of the PM.

“This is being done to ensure constitutionality of the procedures. There is no need to present the activity of the candidate as he is very well known to all,” Nazaryan said.

NA chairman Ara Babloyan invited candidate Nikol Pashinyan to make a speech.

“My nomination is of formal nature. I have been nominated for not being elected. The aim of the nomination is to ensure the legitimacy of the upcoming parliamentary elections and exclude all the possible legal gaps. It is obvious that we will have snap parliamentary elections in December which will register the final victory of the revolution,” Pashinyan stated in his speech.

He said he is not going to present program but will present the political situation created in Armenia during the past five months.
