Nikol Pashinyan not elected as Armenia’s PM
As it was expected the National Assembly has not elected prime minister at its today’s extraordinary sitting.
One lawmaker voted against Nikol Pashinyan’s candidacy. Eleven lawmakers from Yelk faction abstained from voting. Neither of the MPs voted for the candidate.
The Republican, Tsarukyan and ARF-D factions did not participate in the voting.
Armenian NA speaker Ara Babloyan published the results and congratulated on "not adopting the bill".
Today’s election was of formal nature aimed at ensuring procedure set by the Constitution.
