Number of ministries to be considerably cut: acting PM
The acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed the information about the intention to cut the number of ministries.
“The number of our ministries should noticeably reduce,” Pashinyan said at the Government-NA Q&A in response to MP Shirak Torosyan’s question.
He said the government system acts inefficiently and slow and for solving the most “primitive” issue a person is forced to wait for rather long.
“Our issue is no to cut the number of ministries. We have an issue to raise the efficiency of the system. Today the number of our ministries is more than we objectively need them,” the acting PM said, stressing the necessity of cutting their number. At the same time Pashinyan stressed that they are going to display a balanced approach to the issue.
He also added that they will try to raise the efficiency of the system by digitalization as well, and it will be one of the prior issues as well.
