No secret settlement of Karabakh conflict possible: acting PM

No authority in Armenia may settle Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without considering people’s opinion, acting PM, prime ministerial candidate Nikol Pashinyan said at the NA today.

“People’s opinion is a resolute factor that will decide the option of Karabakh conflict settlement,” Pashinyan said, adding that there will not be a secret option of Karabakh conflict settlement.

“Secret settlement of the Karabakh issue is impossible. You cannot wake up one morning and see that the issue has been settled. It is excluded,” he said.

Pashinyan reminded that he has stated many times that if an option which he himself will consider an acceptable one is formed during the negotiations and which will be worthy for presenting it to people, it is the first thing he will do.

“As far as Karabakh authorities are not involved in the process we are not close to the conflict settlement,” he said.
