NSS director, SIS chief to be invited to NA’s Investigative ad hoc Committee sitting
The ad hoc Investigation Committee set up at the National Assebly to study the wiretapping case of the conversation between the National Security Service director and Special Investigation Service chief will conduct sittings in everyday regime, chairman of the committee Gevorg Kostanyan stated today.
“We must organize the process more intensively as we all need the result irrespective of political developments or outcomes. The committee may start convening sessions everyday to be able to acquire necessary information to make right conclusions,” Kostanyan said, adding that the Committee will work until the first session of the new parliament.
As to the circle of people who will be invited in the sidelines of the work of the committee, Kostanyan said it will depend on what the previous invitees will say.
“It is difficult to say exactly who they will be,” he said, stressing that first NSS director and SIS chief will be invited.
Asked about the possibility of decline of the invitation by the NSS and SIS chiefs, Kostanyan said they are to attend the sitting by the law.
