Acting PM Nikol Pashinyan studies circumstances of incident in Yerevan Medical University
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received an open letter from well-known doctors-professors regarding an incident that took place in Yerevan Medical University.
Speaking to Aysor.am, spokesperson for acting PM Arman Yeghoyan said Pashinyan is studying the circumstances mentioned in the letter.
“The premier knows about the incident, received the open letter of the professors and studies the circumstances,” Yeghoyan said.
According to the published information, director of the National Center of Protection of Mental Health Narek Vanesyan, who is the close friend of acting health minister Arsen Torosyan, behaved indecently raising indignation of the present.
Vanesyan received the post after Torosyan’s appointment as minister of health.
In particular, during the event in the university Vanesyan was shouting from his place, behaved smugly and created conflicting situations.
The information was confirmed in the University.
The well known doctors-professors present at the event wrote an open letter to the acting prime minister, stressing that Vanesyan “displayed behavior not proper to a graduate, doctor and citizen.”
The acting health minister has not commented on the incident, saying that he is on a working trip.
