If initiative fails twice it means something is wrong with it: ARF-D faction head
ARF-D faction head Armen Rustamyan ruled out the claim that the bill on making amendments in the Electoral Code failed because of absence of two members of ARF-D faction.
“People must learn to correct their own mistakes and not ascribe them to others,” he told the reporters today.
Rustamyan noted that if an initiative fails twice it means that something has been done wrong.
“It is being spoken about consensus, solidarity. Yes, the process should take place with solidarity. In such case no problems will raise. But as far as December month is set and everything is being done for fitting into it, such things happen. Leaving the main reason, they are searching for other ones. What sabotage, if 5 out of 7 MPs of our faction voted for the bill. If not ensuring 100% presence is considered sabotage, it means all the laws adopted not by all 105 MPs were sabotaged. Accusation of sabotage is obviously ungrounded,” he stressed.
Rustamyan stressed that the failure is the issue of the co-authors of the bill. “The organizers were to do everything to ensure the success of the bill,” he said.
As to the observation that if the ARF-D says one thing they all do and that is the reason why Aghvan Vardanyan was removed from the party for being against the PM, Rustamyan said, “Aghvan Vardanyan expressed opinion that contradicted the position of the party,” he said, adding that these are not cases to be compared with.
