Scandal-involved Narek Vanesyan submits resignation application
Director of the Mental Health Preservation National Center Narek Vanesyan has submitted resignation application and has been relieved of his duties, acting health minister Arsen Torosyan told the reporters today.
He described the incident in the Medical University as “making an elephant from a fly.” “This provocation was addressed against me,” Torosyan claimed.
An incident involving Vanesyan occurred days ago in Yerevan State Medical University. The participants claim that during the university event Vanesyan behaved improperly and raised the discontent of the present.
A number of doctors-professors have written an open letter to acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the information, Vansesyan is acting minister Arsen Torosyan’s close friend and was appointed to the post after Torosyan became sphere’s minister.
