No doubts in involvement of army in March 1, 2008 developments
Declaring search does not mean only revealing the whereabouts of a wanted person, but it means bringing him/her to the investigative body, chief of the Special Investigation Service Sasun Khachatryan told the reporters today, referring to the search declared for the former chief investigator of March 1-2, 2008 case Vahagn Khachatryan.
“Knowing only the place does not mean that a search cannot be declared for him. He has left the territory of the republic in July this year,” Khachatryan said.
As to why he was not invited for interrogation earlier, before leaving the country, Khachatryan said that the interrogation cannot be an end in itself and the circumstances for which we could have been interrogated came forth recently not in July.
He again stressed that there was an involvement of the army in March 1, 2008 developments, with clear evidences existing proving it.
“I cannot claim that all the 1000 capsules belonged to army weapons, but we have clear evidences that at least 1000 capsules which were material evidences of the case were replaced by the ones shot from weapons belonging to interior troops armament,” Khachatryan said.
