Decision to leave Bright Armenia party not made spontaneously: Hayk Konjoryan
The decision to leave the party was not made yesterday, nor the other day, Yelk faction MP Hayk Konjoryan said, commenting on his decision to leave the Bright Armenia party.
He stressed that while establishing Yelk faction there was a point in the memorandum on becoming one party in future and he always backed the idea.
“After the revolution negotiations were being held over participating in the parliamentary elections together and becoming one party. That time we in Bright Armenia party and I in particular were insisting on uniting as we believe in the same ideas and values,” he said, adding that unfortunately only he shared that idea and failed to convince others to unite.
“I have not made this decision in a day or two. It was my idea from the beginning and after the revolution I was speaking about it all the time,” he said, adding that as of the moment he is not considering the issue on becoming member of the Civil Contract party.
“No discussion over membership was held, discussions related to heading to elections together,” he said.
