Charges against second president to be changed or added after enough evidences gathered: SIS chief
Special Investigation Service chief Sasun Khachatryan does not exclude additional charges against Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan in connection with the case of falsification of evidences by former head of the investigation group Vahagn Harutyunyan.
“As soon as we have enough evidences for changing, adding charges against Kocharyan you will be informed about it,” Khachatryan told the reporters today, referring to the new circumstances revealed in March 1, 2008 criminal case.
“Let us just think logically. Robert Kocharyan was claiming that the army was not involved, did not shot. After we revealed that it was involved, opinions were voiced as if they did not participate and did not shot. Then we revealed that the army did shot. These revelations show that the capsules shot by the army were falsified. This is a very significant revelation as with it an attempt was made to fully cover the real circumstance and break the backbone of the case,” Sasun Khachatryan said.
The SIS chief refused to comment whether any charges will be filed against former defense minister Seyran Ohanian.
