Bright Armenia party negatively treats Hayk Konjoryan’s decision to leave
The Bright Armenia party regrets and negatively treats the decision of Hayk Konjoryan to leave the party, president of the party Edmon Marukyan told the reporters today.
“We were not aware of the text of the statement, but we knew that he was going to make such. We have discussed the other day, he said he was going to leave the party. Moreover, he said he was thinking about it for already five months,” Marukyan said, adding that Konjoryan’s decision was not definitely accepted in the party.
“Moreover, I may state that it was accepted negatively but the decision is made, and we wish Hayk Konjoryan success in his future political initiatives,” he said.
Marukyan did not exclude that there may be others as well who would like to leave the party having different visions.
“No one keeps anyone in the party with force, if a person does not see the future of the party, he/she is free to leave it, which, in essence happened in Konjoryan's case. The Bright Armenia has not closed the doors and is not keeping people with force. The party is getting prepared for parliamentary elections, we are working operatively, consequently it was a regrettable surprise for us, we treat it negatively but continue moving forward,” he said.
