Armenia builds relations with all countries stemming from its national and state interests: Nikol Pashinyan
Armenia treats the statements, national and state interests of each country with respect but it is has its own national and state interests as well, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the NA today, asked to refer to the statements of U.S. President’s advisor on national security affairs John Bolton voiced in Armenia.
“Armenia has its national and state interests which not always may coincide with the ones of the other country. The Armenian government stems and will continue stemming from Armenia’s national interests. No one should doubt that we build our relations with USA, Russia or any other country based on our national state interests,” Pashinyan stressed, urging all not to ascribe the statements of representatives of other countries to the Armenian government.
He reiterated that Armenia has special relations with Georgia and Iran and these relations should not be affected by any geopolitical developments.
“This position was clearly stated at the meeting with Mr Bolton. I think Armenia’s position for the U.S. delegation was clear, perceivable and even acceptable,” Pashinyan stressed.
