Program addressed to prolonging activity of ANPP’s 2d energy unit biggest in the system: deputy acting minister
The biggest program being carried out in the energy system is the 300 million USD costing program addressed to the prolongation of life of 2d energy unit of Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP), acting deputy energy infrastructures and natural resources minister Hakob Vardanyan said at the discussion of 2019 draft budget in the NA.
“As a result of the program the life of the 2d energy unit will be prolonged for 10 years, until 2026. The production power will increase a bit and instead of annual 2.4 billion we will have 2.8-2.9 billion kWh,” Vardanyan said.
He noted that the programs addressed toward raising the reliability and security of exploitation of energy system will continue in 2019 as well.
