The first sitting of the new parliament may take place on December 31
The first sitting of the new parliament to be formed as a result of snap parliamentary elections may take place on December 31.
According to the NA Regulation in case of snap parliamentary elections the first session is convened on the second Monday of formation of the new National Assembly.
The December 9 election results will be finally summed up and presented on the seventh day after the elections, December 16, thus the second Monday appears to be December 31.
This is in case when the results are not appealed and the political forces do not demand recalculation of the votes. In such case the day of the first session of the newly formed NA may be postponed.
