Amnesty not to be applied to Sasna Tsrer group in case of objection by relatives of murdered or hostages: acting minister
The rights of all parties should be balanced in the issue on applying amnesty toward Sasna Tsrer group.
“We must ensure protection of rights of the families of the murdered police officers, hostages and people who had received physical and bodily injuries. If they object, the amnesty will not be applied toward them,” acting justice minister Artak Zeynalyan told the reporters today.
He also said this is not a first case of applying amnesty in such cases.
“The 2009 amnesty was applied to the convicts and defendants of March 1 case,” he said, stressing that the amnesty is not state’s obligation, it is a display of kind will by the state.
