Businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan transferred 8 million USD bribe to ex Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan
MP, former Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan received bribe amounting to 8 million USD for providing mine exploitation license, businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan said at a news conference today, saying that the case dates back to 2015.
“During this period the case was twice suspended and resumed,” she said, adding that Aram Harutyunyan has twice deceived her.
“But in February 2015 he finally told me – go and do whatever you want, I will not give the money,” she said, adding that she was convinced from Baghramyan 26 that she would get her money back.
“But in March 2017 the case is being suspended and I was not informed about it,” she said, adding that the investigator asked her how they should know that she transferred the money.
“I brought the woman from Dubai Araks Dilanyan on the account of which the money were transferred,” she said, adding that they did not know each other, as the account for transferring money was given to her by Aram Harutyunyan.
Silva Hambardzumyan has applied this year to Armenia’s Prosecutor General for starting a case.
“Three citizens of Armenia – Garik Karapetyan, Sevan psychiatric hospital director, Viktor Martirosyan and Armen Khachatryan departed for Dubai, get the money on their accounts and return,” she said.
Hambardzumyan noted that she transferred the money to Araks Dilanyan, who in her turn, transferred to the accounts of Aram Harutyunyan’s relatives, friends.
