Karabakh conflict parties should be ready for painful compromises to reach long-lasting peace: OSCE
OSCE hopes that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict parties will display political will for the settlement of the conflict but painful compromises are necessary for all-encompassing peace, OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger stated today.
“All the conflicting sides need to work in a constructive way to avoid escalating rhetoric and to reduce the tension on the Line of Contact,” he said stressing that the parties should use the time for creation of atmosphere that will promote the constructive talks.
“Such atmosphere is necessary for parties to make painful compromises necessary for all-encompassing and long-lasting peace,” Greminger told at a news conference after meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, RIA Novosti report.
