Zhoghovurd: Russia responds to Bolton’s statement instead of Armenia

Zhoghovurd paper writes that passions do not calm down after the visit of U.S. President’s adviser John Bolton to Armenia neither inside the country nor outside of it.

The paper says Armenia has not responded to the noisy statement about the U.S. and Russian weaponry, instead Russia tried to defend its rights.

Russian Foreign Ministry came up with a statement, “It seemed there could have not been more incivility which does not differ from interfering into domestic affairs. But it appeared it is not so.”

Asked for a comment spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan said that Bolton’s statements were variously commented on different levels, including by the acting foreign minister.

The paper reminds that the acting minister stressed that the dialogue was a succeeded one and was of more than geostrategic nature. The minister though did not refer to the discussions on Armenia’s domestic affairs.
