Serzh Sargsyan’s office declines two apartment proposals by the state: PM’s staff head
Armenia’s third president Serzh Sargsyan’s office has twice declines residence proposals basing on security reasons, head of PM’s staff Eduard Aghajanyan told the reporters today.
“Serzh Sargsyan’s office has twice declined proposals. The two, according to them, did not meet safety requirements. That is why residence was not provided to the third president,” he said.
Aghajanyan said that the law clearly obliges the state to ensure apartment to resigned president.
“Now if Serzh Sargsyan refuses apartment, issues appear with the law,” Aghajanyan said.
He said only in case of official written rejection the state may consider its commitment implemented.
Armenia’s third president has left the governmental house and handed over the keys.
