Murderer of Russian serviceman in Gyumri sentenced to 22 years imprisonment
Arman Janjughazyan, 22, accused of the murder of Dmitry Yalpaev, 21, serviceman of Russian military base deployed in Gyumri, has been sentenced to 22 years imprisonment by Shirak province’s court.
The murder was committed on April 22, 2017 near a shop in Gyumri where the police officers found Yalpaev’s body with various body injuries.
The preliminary investigative body reported that Janjughazyan had mental health problems.
At the court hearings, though, Janjughazyan stated that he was healthy and did not have any mental problems.
With the court ruling on October 31, Janjughazyan has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for murder and 2 years for illegal possession of cold weapon.
Janjughazyan stated that he is Islam follower but refused to speak about it in the court.
