Former PM’s and his brother’s greenhouses illegally irrigated for 15 years
The greenhouses of former Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and his brother have been irrigated from the pipes illegally connected to the Mkhchyan first-line pipeline.
With the instruction of prime minister, the State Control Service examined the territory served by the Artashat Water Using Company after pipe connections with 100 mm diameter have been found for the irrigation of nearby grape fields.
It has been revealed that Jrar ompany is not an irrigation water supplier and according to the norms, the pipe connections are illegal. The pumping station is to supply the whole water to Artashat Water Using Company.
Three pipes have been connected on the continuation of the main one. According to the initial calculations, for more than 15 years water flow has been ensured for the nearby grape fields while very few payments have been made for it.
The violation has been registered on site at the presence of company representatives, governor’s office and police officials.
The illegally irrigated greenhouses appeared to belong to former PM and his brother.
Materials are being prepared in the Artashat police department of Ararat province.
