Newly appointed Swedish ambassador to Armenia hands over credentials
Newly appointed Swedish ambassador to Armenia Ulrik Tideström (residence in Tbilisi) handed over today his credentials to the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian.
During the meeting the ambassador stressed the close friendly relations between the two countries and the peopled and emphasized the role of the Swedish-Armenian community in it.
President Sarkissian wished the ambassador effective activity and voiced conviction that he will apply his experience and professional skills for strengthening bilateral relations.
He said that though Armenian-Swedish diplomatic relations have been established just 26 years ago the historic-cultural ties between the two countries come deeper from centuries.
President Sarkissian stressed that Sweden is a significant and reliable partner for Armenia in the Scandinavian territory and there are serious prerequisites for expanding cooperation in different spheres.
