Belarusian representative should become CSTO secretary general: Kazakh president
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev says the new secretary general of CSTO should become representative of Belarus.
“Our issue is that Khachaturov, Armenia’s representative, was our secretary general but was he recalled,” Nazarbayev told the journalists after the session of the CSTO member states’ leaders.
The president of Kazakhstan said next in turn for post after Armenia comes Belarus.
“The heads of member states said that we need incumbent secretary general from Belarusian side. We will discuss this issue on September 6 in St. Petersburg,” Nazarbayev said.
