No new moves toward Zangakatun village registered by adversary: DM spokesperson
The Azerbaijani armed forces did not move toward Zangakatun village of Armenia’s Ararat province, spokesperson for the Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Aysor.am.
The comment came after head of the community Hovik Karapetyan told News.am that the Azerbaijani side has brought forward its positions significantly cutting the territory between the conflicting parties.
“The head of the community did not tell anything new. There was no move. It happened few months ago. I want to repeat though that the adversary moved positions in its own territory over which the Armenian forces had never had control,” the spokesperson said.
He said that the acting defense minister Davit Tonoyan will come up with a news conference and will refer to this question as well.
