ARF-D not to form coalition where it cannot make decisions: faction head
ARF-D to publish its election list on November 14, faction head Armen Rustamyan told the reporters today.
“The difficulties in forming the list occur because of rating lists. The right of decision belongs to our territorial structures and they are to decide who to nominate. I think tomorrow the list will be completely ready,” Rustamyan said.
He ruled out the fight for the first place in the list between him and Hrant Margaryan. “Our party weights everything, but the final decision is being made through consensus,” he said.
The discussions are held in a way for the list to be acceptable for the whole structure, he said.
As to the claims of the Republicans that they will be the only opposition, Rustamyan said that in this phase it is not right to say who the opposition is who not.
“More probably they understand that today Nikol Pashinyan’s party is the favorite and will be the majority, that is why they make such statements,” Rustamyan said.
He said they too have withdrawn from the authorities and in this regard may be viewed as opposition.
“We are not going to form a coalition with a force which does not consider our voice. We will not make part of such coalitions where we cannot make decisions. This is what we have understood from our past. We should not have formed a coalition where decisions were made without considering our approach,” he said, adding that this is the reason why they failed in their initiatives. “Now we will not commit the same mistake,” he said.
