Republican party cannot stay passive and enjoy Pashinyan’s failures fatal for homeland: Eduard Sharmazanov
The upcoming hasty snap parliamentary elections in Armenia will not promote the curing of political system and will not create equal opportunities for all the participating forces, deputy speaker of parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said at the NA today.
“Today as never Armenia is facing serious domestic and external challenges. In such conditions we cannot be passive and enjoy Pashinyan’s possible failures. We will do everything for Armenia to combat these challenges, keeping our country and Artsakh far from dangers as homeland’s interests are above everything,” Sharmazanov stated.
He said that the Republican party will participate in the elections to become a real opposition and tp form the second pole in the parliament.
“Our country needs real opposition which will point the authorities its mistakes and flaws for them to refrain from fatal mistakes. It may be done only by the force which criticized Pashinyan’s government for the past six months,” he said, stressing that this force is Republican party.
“During these six months we witnessed revelation of a chain of lies. Instead of Pashinyan’s promised rapid development, we got reduction of economic growth tempo, reduction of volume of investments, instead of opening new jobs their number reduced. About 600 people in Alaverdi are facing the threat of losing their jobs. Instead of making our position stronger in CSTO we have been deprived of the post of the CSTO secretary general. Here we registered a failure too,” Sharmazanov stated.
