Armenia’s acting PM, Russian president refer to Lukashenko-Azerbaijani ambassador meeting during phone conversation
Armenian acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred during the phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Belarusian president Alexander Lukashenko’s discussion of CSTO issues with Azerbaijani ambassador.
Asked by SHANTNEWS.am after the birthday celebration of Artsakh hero Robert Abajyan, the PM said that this issue was also among the discussed topics.
“We continue dialogue with our partners and with Russia. We will continue it with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to finally reach mutual understanding,” the acting PM said.
Nikol Pashinyan stated that he will demand clarifications from the presidents of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
“I am surprised that a person who is president of a state for 30 years allows himself such things. I am going to demand explanations from the president of Belarus and not only him. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev too made statements contradicting our arrangements,” he said, stressing that no one has a right to make such statements. “The decisions in the CSTO are made by consensus. We have clearly stated our position,” he said.
“It is very important to have a clear dialogue with our allies and each side must understand its commitments toward the others,” he said.
