Republican party sole real opposition to incumbent authorities: Samvel Nikoyan

The Republican party may be the best opposition as it has potential and experience, member of Supreme Body of the party Samvel Nikoyan told the reporters today.

“We will keep in focus the foreign political issues, the Karabakh issue, the value system and will express our viewpoints. This period of time showed its necessity,” he said.

Nikoyan said all are declaring themselves opposition and are criticizing the Republican party.

“Opposition does not have opposition. A part is flattering the authorities, the others are afraid of it, nevertheless flatter it. If you were attentive to the discussions in the parliament you will obviously see that there is an atmosphere of fear and servility,” he said adding that it is obvious that the opposition to today’s authorities is Republican party which he assured will become the second political force in the parliament.
