Newly presented bill by SRC to harm most insecure cluster of population: Arpine Hovhannisyan
Vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Arpine Hovhannisian stated today in live video in Facebook that she will undertake all the steps to oppose and not to allow adoption of bill by the State Revenue Committee relating taxing transfers.
In an interview to Radiolur, chairman of the SRC stated that they are planning to come up with proposal to tax all citizens from 18-65 years old getting transfers from abroad.
Hovhannisyan stated that this initiative will first harm the most insecure cluster of the population.
“It means that a farmer who sells his products must declare the income received from it, or citizens who left to work abroad and send money to their families here must declare and pay taxes from it. It means that if a person sends $100 he is to pay 23% to state budget which is unacceptable,” she stated, adding that this variant of the bill should not be brought to reality.
