Mission of state official is to serve people, not have benefits: Acting PM
The mission of state official is to serve and not have benefits, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today at the meeting in Gegharkunik governor’s office.
He said the salaries of state officials should be raised but it may take place only if country’s income raises as a result of the activity of the state officials.
“The most important peculiarity of the new phase of the revolution is the encouragement of work. We must help people work, we must assist them, we must help them overcome feeling of despair,” he said, adding that Armenia must be a country of opportunities.
“Today people have an opportunity of everything, starting from becoming an MP and ending with founding a business,” the acting PM said.
He said they will strictly fight against corruption and catch each person who takes bribe one by one.
“The people who will use the service entrusted them by the people against these very people will be caught one by one. I hope this message will be seriously perceived,” he said.
