Political revolution accomplished, economic is to follow: Armenia’s acting PM
Armenian acting prime minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Armenia’s town of Martuni which celebrates today the 190th anniversary of its establishment, participated in opening of a local school and met with the residents.
Addressing the people, he said that they have succeeded to accomplish political revolution and it has remained to carry out economic one.
“We are facing elections soon, and we will ask you for mandate. We have carried out political revolution, and now we need your vote of confidence for implementing economic revolution in our country,” Pashinyan said, adding that people are to decide and the power belongs to them.
“I guarantee that no one will force you to vote for anyone by using administrative lever, giving bribes, or voicing threats. Free elections will take place in Armenia. I hope the “institute of tellers” will not be tempted. No one can tell Armenia’s citizens who to vote for as the citizens are the tellers,” he said, urging the residents to follow the campaign and make the decision on their own.
