Armenia’s PM carries out propaganda week before election campaign officially launches: Armen Ashotyan
Armenia’s acting PM Nikol Pashinyan has launched propaganda a week before the official launch of the campaign, deputy chairman of the Republican party, Armen Ashotyan wrote in Facebook page.
“On working hours and using state resources he carried out an open campaign in Armenia’s Gegharkunik province,” Ashotyan wrote, describing it as inadmissible.
“His prime ministerial visits and speeches must stem from his status only and not be addressed for propaganda,” he said, focusing the attention of the international observers toward the circumstance.
“Speaking about equal opportunities and rule of law and at the same time abusing the power and carrying out a campaign in the status of PM shows that the authorities use administrative levers and violate Electoral Code,” he wrote, urging Pashinyan to orient whether he is a PM or Civil Contract party campaigner.
