Zhoghovurd: CSTO secretary general appointment may again be postponed
Zhoghovurd paper writes that the passions over the appointment of CSTO new secretary general do not calm down ahead of the meeting of member states on December 6. The paper says the more the meeting approaches the more the passions grow.
Citing its sources, the paper says the issue may not be settled on December 6 too and attempt will be made to postpone it until the end of Armenia’s tenure in the office. The paper says that Russia’s voice will be resolute in the issue.
The situation became tensed after president of Belarus Lukashenko discussed the issue at the meeting with the Azerbaijani ambassador which raised the discontent of Armenia’s PM who stated that he would demand explanations from Lukashenko.
The paper writes yesterday during the visit to Baku Lukashenko stated that their cooperation with Azerbaijan is not addressed against a third country.
