Corruption cases amounting to over 5,5 million AMD revealed with involvement of Armavir schools
The Armenian police officials revealed a number of corruption cases in educational establishments of Armenia’s Armavir province.
One of the cases was revealed in Lenugh community village, where the principal reached arrangement with the school’s accountant in 2014 and registered a person as a school guard who though did not factually work. The salary envisaged for the post amounting to 2 million 520 AMD by 2018 has been appropriated. A criminal case has been filed, investigation is underway.
Another case has been registered in Aygevan community’s Movses Khorentasi school, where the principal, abusing power, appointed two relatives in 2013 who factually did not come to work and appropriated the salaries amounting to 2 million 195 AMD by 2018. Criminal case has been filed, investigation is underway.
The next case was registered in Arax community school, where in 2016 the principal appointed own daughter as school operator who though did not attend the work but the salary amounting to 887,230 AMD by 2018 was appropriated. Criminal case has been filed, examination is underway.
