Growth of crime rate not agreed with declared amnesty: police chief briefs on reasons
The crime rate has grown in Armenia but it is not agreed with the declared amnesty chief of the Armenian police Valery Osipyan said at a briefing today.
“There is a growth but it is not a risky growth to make us worry and it does not have any relation to declared amnesty,” he said.
Among the first reasons of the growth of the crime rate, Osipyan mentioned the elimination of "ill approach" to “cover crimes”.
Besides, he said, people’s trust toward police has grown. He also mentioned that among the crimes are the economic ones committed previously and revealed now.
