Annual telethon gathers over $10 million, Armenia’s president, acting PM among donators

Annual telethon of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund took place this night in Los Angeles entitled Let’s create together.

Forty minutes before the end it has been stated that $10 million 808, 160 has been donated to the Fund in 11.5 hours.

Among the donator is Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian who donated his half year salary to the Fund. Armenian Prime Minister visited today the office of the Fund and donated 1 million AMD from the fund of country’s PM and 500,000 AMD from his own means.

The Chinese embassy in Armenia donated $17.500 for usage of solar electricity by Ashotsk school.

With the $1 million 340 donation pledge of Iranian-Armenian philanthropists Henrik and Adrine Ter-Ghukasyans, Mataghis-Talish highway will be reconstructed.

Yerevan mayor Hayk Marutyuan has also made a donation pledge.

With the $1 million donation of U.S.-Armenian philanthropist Andranik Baghdasaryan Getavan school will be reconstructed.

Alex Holding company has also made a donation amounting to $200,000.

Owners of Grand Holding Karen and Michael Vardanyans donated $60 million for the reconstruction of Dilijan-Ijevan state significance road, as well as renovation of the territory near newly constructed Artsakh’s St. Hovan church.

NSS employees donated 9 million 527,700 AMD, NSS director Artur Vanetsyan donated his one-month salary.

Gevik and Peter Baghdasaryans and their friends donated $61,000 to the Fund. American-Armenian philanthropist Alber Boyajyan donated $1 million. Armenian community of Iran donated $100,000.

The Fund’s structures in different European countries and in Latin and North Americas have also conducted marathons and gathered means.

During the 2017 Fruitful Artsakh telethon over $12,505,456 were gathered.
