Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan attends hearing of his appeal
No military situation was declared from February 23 till March 1, 2008, second president Robert Kocharyan’s attorney Hayk Alumyan stated today before the court hearing. He said this circumstance plays a core role in the accusation of the Special Investigation Service.
“No element of military situations existed those days. There was no military situation and could not have been,” Alumyan stated.
According to the charges, March 1 rally was peaceful, without usage of any weapon, while, Alumyan says they have a number of judicial acts which “clearly fixed that this or that participant of the rally committed this or that action, used weapon.”
“The state cannot put under doubt the judicial act made on its behalf,” Alumyan said.
