Kocharyan’s appeal case examination to continue November 28
The examination of the appeal for changing preventive measure against Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan will continue on November 28 at 12 p.m., Kocharyan's attorney Hayk Alumyan told the reporters after today's hearing.
He said they did not manage to prepare the application for self-withdrawal of the judge, and the court gave them time to do it until tomorrow.
The appeal has been submitted to the court by Prosecutor General who claimed that changing Kocharyan’s preventive measure from arrest to release for bail is inadmissible.
As to the grounds for demanding self-withdrawal of the judge, Alumyan said he cannot present details over it now but added that the decision has been made during the proceeding.
"We needed to clarify some facts from the judge, he submitted them, after it we wrote application to the chairman of the Court of Appeal to clarify another fact from him. Now everything is clear for us. The facts are in our hands and we will file petition tomorrow," Alumyan said.
